Dropbox sync not reliable

I have the Mac and iPhone versions and sync the two once or twice a week - but 2Do thinks this is too often and reports that the Dropbox sync limit has been reached and wont sync. This is a shame as this is otherwise an OK (not great but OK) product.

manque cruel !!

The ability to create an action (call number, send mail ....) when entering the task on the computer. Feasible on mobile then why not on the computer. Here obligation to modify each task on mobile device in order to appeal easily. For when you are planning this important feature when managing like me and probably other more than 200 tasks that are 100% telephone reminders.?

Very Useful!

Use this app all the time to get things done… Excellent app and keeps getting better.!!!!

The best of both worlds

Like many users here, I started w/ Things, which became quickly limited. I then switched to Omnifocus which is incredibly powerful but also incredibly heavy and hard to use. 2Do is by far the best: you’re not overwhelmed with complexity, but the power is there, waiting for you to take advantage of it. 2Do Add-ons are also something that I really excited about! By far the best todo app, whether you’re an expert or a beginner. My only concern would come from the design and icon, that could clearly benefit from a fresh paint coat.

Yes but

Powerful app but with a not so beautiful design. I contacted their support and they are very unfriendly and quite arrogant when I (politely) suggested a couple of enhancements. The drag and drop tak on the calendar works really well. I would love to see a way to change things like priority and tags on a panel rather than inline. Flat design is the new conservatism as it seems.

Unbelievable

This is my favorite app.

Good, but can improve

Overall it is a good app, but sometimes it still feels complicated to use and the user interface needs a little improvement to make it more intuitive. It really annoys me that I can’t arrange the position of the items inside a list, like one can do on Wunderlist. I like its integration with iOS, although sometimes it does not sync correctly.

2Do for Mac 2.0.1

The 2Do app has now reached a new, much better level. Now it is possible having all todos available on the Mac as well. The icloud sync works properly and is easy to use. The app looks not so stylish like on the iPhone, but this maybe comes in a later version. The functionality is pretty good, you can drag and drop easily tasks from one list to another. You can also create "smart lists”, so a way to add your own selection criteria and based on this have various views on your tasks.

Very good Task Manager, but expensive

2Do is very useful Task Manager, helping to arrange, plan and remeber todos. I use it on Mac, iPhone, iPad and it works perfectly. The possibility to create projects and cluster different tasks is very good. 2Do focusses on quick actions, creating, rearranging and rescheduling is fast, easy and intuitiv. Only the price is quite high, I bought it during promotion and see it as a one-off expense.

best GTD app

best GTD app. I am migrated from Wunderlist and this is by far the best GTD app for me.

Amazing

I Love it! the widget is kind of unstable, but im sure you will fix this! EDIT: Widget works perfect now! Super update! Best GTD-App for me.

Things-convert likes what he sees

This is hands-down the most user-friendly, approachable, usable todo app on the app store. I’ve been a long-time Things user (I even worked for Cultured Code for a couple of years) but, I’ve been using 2Do for a couple of months now and it is the best package. Sync is not quite as fluid as Cultured Code’s, but it’s okay for what I do. Now, will I look into Things 3 once it’s out? You bet! But it’ll be hard to compell me away from 2Do.

superb but…..

very very useful, but… i still cant search with spotlight !!!!!!!!!!! iam using different apps do store my infos. basic infos in devonthink comunication in mail, notes and so so on. i want to search for entries right from every point iam so please implement spotlight indexing !!!!!!!!!

Possibly the best out there

I own and tried The Hit List, Things, and Appigo Todo for several months. Something always bothered me about each app. I tried OmniFocus for 10 days (trial), it unnecesarly complicated for my needs. I "forced" my workflow to adapt to the limited Reminders for couple months now. 2Do changed the scene completely. Its functional and very elegant. My only issue is that while sync functions well, it needs to be more seamless. Keep on going 2Do team, you are making something unique.

This application is not responding

Dont bother to buy, version 1.0.1 dec 2012 is not working properly on mac os 10.8.2. Too bad. Just lsot 30$

Fantastic App… but

I love this application, it does just what I want and has the flexibility to use it however you might want to (i.e. creating a smart list for "Errands" that uses tags to filter is basically the same as Contexts in omnifocus). It has a myriad of keyboard shortcuts (which I love). The one thing that would be a little nicer would be the ability to add endless subtasks, rather than only one layer. The main problem I have had has been almost constant crashing. There seems to be a variety of reasons for the crash (by crashes I mean freezes up and I have to force quit the app from the dock). Right now I tried to change my sync method and everytime I open "preferences" it freezes, leaving me without sync, or the ability to change any settings If it wasnt crashing like it is I would give it five stars…

Missing "action" tools

I own the iOS version on my iphone and love it. I can easily use "action" tools to add email address, telephone, location address to any item in my to do list. It is convenient and quick for me to go through my to do list this way. I understand that a pc does not have a location sensor on it (like a smartphone), but it would be nice to have these "action" tools still available on the pc as it would allow me to create my 2do list on my pc, then sync with my smartphone and away I go to get things done. Hopefully this will be added soon… Thank you.

great app. love the feature set. easy to bang out a 2do list

Great job on this app! Ive been using iOS version since it came out so I wasnt sure if I would like having the desktop version, but I think this is going to be great. Having items pop up in the notification list on my Mac will help me keep further organized because my iPhone isnt always with me. Plus, lets face it, its faster to type on a regular keyboard then any smart device so hammering out a list will be quicker. I do like the different sync options. For now, Ill just use the Dropbox, but I may switch to the iCal option. Syncing with my Dropbox account was super easy. It synced all my iPhone items within a minute or so. I have projects and singular 2Dos and nothing seems amiss. Definitely worth the purchase. Im what I call a typical guy - not the most organized, but the ease of using 2Do iOS version has seriously changed my life. May sound silly to some, but its made a real difference to me and my family. Im the Stay at Home Dad so I need to have stuff organized because its really the entire household keeping organized for the better. Trust me, Im still not obsessive, but things are easier found and done these days :) lol Oh, one other importanat fact: Ive contacted support in the past. Theyre quick to respond. This isnt a dormant developer. They truly care about their product and service. There are plenty of apps out there, but to me, ease of use and customer service are whats most important. I know this product is going to get even better as time goes on, or theyll fix any issues. Enjoy!

This is by far the best of the Task Management Programs…..

I wrote a brief review previously when I was relatively new to 2do and rated it a 5 star program, which it is and said that it is absolutely excellent which is totally true. As Ive used it now for a while I can only say that Ive gotten happier and happier with 2do on my Macs, iPhone 5 and iPad 4g. One thing I think needs pointing out that makes this product truly shine is that if you use it with iCloud for syncg youll have this amazing integration with Reminders (which I dont use) and BusyCal which I constantly use. Anything I enter in 2do is reflected in BusyCals Todos but only in a different fashion which is exactly what I want. I would not want to see my Tasks in BusyCal out of alignment with what I do in 2do. I live in 2do and BusyCal as part of my workflow so I have complete integration between both 2do for OSX and IOS and Busycal. Sync is seemless as both 2do can use iCloud and BusyCal uses iCloud. I know that my data is persistent and not locked into a proprietary environment, heaven forbid should anything happen to 2do. One final thing that Id like to emphasize is that while 2do is very flexible and you can use basically any task managment system you want from the very simple to sophisticated approach, it follows the David Allen "Getting Things Done" (GTD) model extremely well. If you do use the GTD model as part of your workflow you will certainly not regret having 2do as your system.

Amazing application for the money.

Ive used this application for a few years already on my iPhone, I stumbled upon it some time ago when I needed something more powerful but uncluttered. The price for iOS is very attractive as it gives you both iPhone and iPad versions in one purchase. Since the release of the Mac version, I am amazed at the amount of features it offers for the price (30$ at the time of purchase). There are many sync options to choose from, I personally use dropbox and am completely satisfied with it to this day, although reading about iCloud integration that may be more interesting. The only annoyance Ive had so far with it is the error message that I get everytime I leave the app open and close my laptop (read loose internet connectivity) and it then complains that it cannot sync.
