Winner in a crowded marketplace
I’m not going to tell you how much money I’ve spent buying expensive productivity apps, but you can be confident that I’ve bought and used them all. If only I had found 2Do sooner, I would never have needed to buy another.
Every other app left me wanting. OmniFocus only lets you assign one tag (or ‘context’). Things lets you assign multiple tags, but only lets you filter on one at a time. So if I sit down at the computer and want to see tasks that have a “computer” tag AND an “urgent” tag, it’s just not possible. 2Do is as absolutely complicated as any tinkerer could ever want it to be, and it’s still dead simple to use. The other (huge) thing is the iPad and iPhone versions. Because 2Do was a mobile app before it came to the desktop, the interface and functionality is 100% the same — I mean ZERO feature sacrifice, and the interface is abslutely brillantly designed. In fact, if you wanted to split hairs, you might even say that the iPad has even more functionality than the desktop version since it shows your calendar events right from the app.
It’s just everything you could possibly want a task app to be. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Buy this one first and be happy.
